I'm currently running Ubuntu 10.10 and would like to just find out what version of HP's CCISS RAID array driver I'm running. I've looked around hpacucli and couldn't find anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The cciss driver has been removed from RHEL7 and SLES12. If you really want cciss on RHEL7 checkout the elrepo directory. A new Smart Array driver called 'hpsa' has been accepted into the main line linux kernel as of Dec 18, 2009, in linux-2.6.33-rc1.This new driver will support new Smart Array products going forward, and the cciss driver will eventually be deprecated. The cciss driver is a block driver as well as a SCSI driver and only the tape drives and medium changers are presented to the SCSI midlayer Furthermore, unlike more straightforward SCSI drivers, disk I/O continues through the block side during the SCSI error-recovery process Therefore, the cciss driver implements only the first two of these. Download the cciss driver from HP's open source project repository for the cciss driver. Since this resulting driver is not shipped by Red Hat, it isn't supported. Booting my system using the newer hpsa driver works fine (instead of the older cciss driver). My disks are detected as /dev/sda etc etc. However the HP provided tool 'hpacucli' fails to find any controllers. From what I have read this hpsa driver should support the same ioctls as cciss which enable.

Default: false. Node js php serialize example.

Try the following:

(this will provide the slot number for your SmartArray controller to be used in the next step)

HP has deprecated hpacucli and replaced it with hpsacli, the syntax is the same
