    I have a HP 840 G3 that was donated to me to Hackintosh, currently running High Sierra 10.13.6. This should work for the 840 G2 and you may even have more luck with the 840 G1 with the WiFi that PCIe.
    My method to install OS X on the SSD from a working real Mac via SSD to USB converter. I then install Clover and add my kexts ad set the config.plist
    Not working
    SD Card reader
    Working
    Video - screen looks better in OS X then it does in Windows 10
    VGA port
    WiFi and BlueTooth working OOO using the below hack
    Battery status with Rehabman's DSDT patch
    Brightness controls
    Sounds - using VoodooHDA
    Microphone - cannot turn it off or mute
    Keyboard backlight - controlled though BIOS anyways
    touchpad - using VoodooPS2Controller
    USB3 - this laptop has two on board only and I haven't test them using the docking station
    USB3.1 C
    Ethernet - using IntelMausiEthernet
    Sleep - kind of, closing the lid doesn't go to sleep but goes to sleep over time.
    Not tested
    This laptop does not have a Webcam - enterprise model.

    For me what keeps this from being a day to day usable laptop (Mac Book) is the WiFi + Bluetooth, not having battery percentage could be an issue later though.

    Hello everyone,
    I'm trying desperately to install os x in hp Elitebook 8570p with AMD Radeon 7570m, no IntelHD.
    After a lot of effort, I managed to install Sierra, I can only boot with a USB key, but it's not the biggest problem.
    I try so many things, but my graphics card is not fully recognized.
    I have some problems with gradients, some glitching issues.
    I try to inject custom EDID, FAKE ID, nothing happens, but I'm a newbie, maybe i miss something.
    If anyone has experience with these specific Elitebook with Radeon graphics, please share your experience!
    I know that a thread already exists > but but I do not fully understand it in relation to my situation.

    Thanks to the website for being a resource and making hacktintosh a valuable resource to the little guy.
    I have a HP Elitebook 8560p with a Radeon HD 6470m video card / Hackintosh that I was able to get Mavericks onto with everything working but Sierra has problems with the USB 3.0, as well the Radeon Card working with GPU acceleration.
    I have installed Sierra and I cannot get the GPU to work with OPEN CL, resolution or the USB 3.0 to be recognized, unlike the Mavericks partition.
    As far as the Radeon goes, It is in VGA mode with no GPU acceleration, but it sees it in the system profiler but not correctly with the V RAM. I for the life of me cannot remember how I resolved these issues in Mavericks, as I was foolish enough not to take notes or make a build sheet.
    Can you point me in the right direction on these 2 issues? I can provide my contact information as well if this is OK to?
    Hardware is: (Bolder text being an immediate priority for assistance if anyone can)
    i7 quad core 16gb ram (OK) 2 USB 2 ports working 2 USB 3.0 port not working Radeon HD 6470m with 1024 v RAM, that is in VGA mode with no GPU acceleration motherboard: Intel MX67QM (not sure if this is a 6, 7, 8 or 9 series chipset) The chipset is listed as MX67QM BIOS: AMI 64 (updated) NO Intel HD graphics enabled on the motherboard HDMI not tested, but says the audio is working via HDMI Intel 82579LM Gigabit LAN not tested Intel 82574 PCIe LAN not tested (not seen, but listed in motherboard specs) Intel Centrino Ultimate N6300 AGN (says for network adapter, but I Realtek ALC 887 working by Voodoo 2,8,8 Card Reader: Not recognized No dual Intel HD graphics (not seen by system profiler) and HP stated the card is either removed or disabled (perhaps by BIOS)

    Hello,
    I will explain how i have installed Os X EL Capitan 10.11 on HP ElibteBook 820 G2.
    Before start this installation, or buy this computer, you have to know that it's hard to find a compatible wifi/BT module.
    This guide still not 100% perfect.
    This allow to install:
    - El Capitan Public Beta 1 (10.11.0)
    - El Capitan Public Beta 2 and above (10.11.0)
    Yosemite 10.10.x doesn't support Broadwell processor and so can't be installed.
    Working:
    - Wifi and Bluetooth doesn't work, you have to find a compatible wifi/bt card with NGFF M2 slot.
    this one is compatible:
    Dell DW1560 part code: 6xRYC
    - SD card reader.
    - Display port on the dock station
    Needed materials:
    - a mac or hackintosh
    - usb drive
    - external hard drive (if you do fusion on post-install)
    Other solution:
    You can use HP Probook Installer Clover Edition 6.4 or up to install El Capitan.
    It doesn't add anything more than working with my guide.
    It will define you mac as a MacBookAir7,2.
